The Highland Journey
Day 1: Arrival & Rim Sunset
Journey to the Highlands
Arrive at Arusha and transfer through the scenic Lake Manyara viewpoint. Ascend the steep walls of the Ngorongoro Highlands, arriving at your lodge on the crater rim. Enjoy a sundowner overlooking the vast 260 square kilometer crater floor as the mist rolls in.
Day 2: Full Day Crater Floor
The Garden of Eden
At sunrise, descend the winding road to the crater floor. Spend the full day tracking lions, elephants, and searching for the elusive black rhino near the Lerai Forest. A picnic lunch is served by the hippo pool, surrounded by one of the highest densities of large mammals on Earth.
Day 3: Maasai Culture & Return
Cultural Heritage
Visit a local Maasai Boma in the conservation area to learn about their ancient coexistence with wildlife. After a morning nature walk along the rim, begin the descent back toward Arusha for your departure or onward flight.
