Escape the crowds and venture into the vast, rugged landscapes of Southern Tanzania. The Wild South Circuit offers a raw safari experience across Nyerere National Park and Ruaha. With specialized off-road permits, we access remote corners of these parks where few vehicles tread. Days 1-3: Nyerere (Selous)
Rivers and Rare Species
Fly from Dar es Salaam into Nyerere National Park. Explore the complex water networks of the Rufiji River by boat, spotting hippos and crocodiles. Use our off-road access to track the rare African Wild Dog in the palm-fringed savannahs.
Days 4-7: Ruaha National Park
Land of the Giant Lions
Fly west to the semi-arid landscapes of Ruaha. This is "big cat" country. We navigate deep into the park's interior, following seasonal riverbeds where massive prides of lions and solitary leopards wait for the herds. Nights are spent in remote tented camps with zero light pollution.
Day 8: Final Bush Walk & Departure
The Last Frontier
Enjoy a final early morning walking safari to see the small details of the bush. After a farewell brunch in the wild, board your light aircraft for the return flight to Dar es Salaam or continue to the Zanzibar coast.
